When I run the windows 7 sound wizard or whatever I can click to test the speakers and I hear the sound coming from them so I know that they are working but nothing else will play on those speakers.Ĭurrently I have uninstalled all of the asus audio drivers so I'm just running whatever came with windows 7 ultimate.ĪSUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD MotherboardĪ-DATA 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model ADQVE1B16 The problem I am having though, is that I can only use my Left and Right front speakers, I can't use my C-Sub or rear speakers at all.

I have tried using the windows xp and vista one just to see if those would work. I purchased it when it first came out thinking it was basically an XtremeGamer but in PCI-Express format and Windows Vista friendly (this was when I built my new computer that I still use now).I've looked at the asus website and they don't have an audio driver out yet for windows 7. The only problem is the fact that the XtremeAudio card sucks, and I don't want to use it. On the other hand, my Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeAudio PCI-E works flawlessly. I also have a Razer Barracuda AC-1 PCI sound card which does not work either. I really can't figure out why the card won't work. My RAM is four sticks of Corsair's XMS2 800Mhz memory. The CPU is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz 3.20GHz. My motherboard is an ASUS P5N-T Deluxe with a nForce 780i SLI GPU. I have Logitech 5300e THX 5.1 Surround Sound speakers with a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer PCI sound card. I have the onboard sound turned off in the BIOS and it is not located anywhere in the Device Manager. I have the latest Windows 7 beta drivers installed from Creative, the latest DirectX Redist and SDK, and both the OpenAL and it's SDK. I have heard static coming from the speakers on Windows 7 a few times, but other than that I get nothing. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition and Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition both have issues with this card. I've been having problems with my XtremeGamer for a year or so now. You guys are lucky that you are getting any sound at all.
